Product Description |
Opteka rubber lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

| This lens hood is so much better than the old, hard kind that take up way too much space in the carrier and don't get out of the way when they are not needed. This is a nifty improvement on the original. |

| This is made out of real thick rubber and it works perfectly. I love how it easily fits into my camera bag without having to remove it from the lens. I also like how in crowded situations, it takes a bump and bounces back... no harm to the lens or camera. Well worth the price. Only down side is you must pay attention when adding your lens cap to make sure it's on well. Otherwise, it's all positive... looks and works GREAT! |

| Excellent protection for lens. Good construction, and easy to use. Collapses easily, and offers good bumper protection for a long lens. Can extend part way for use on wider angle lenses. Using this on an 18-250 lens, and it works great. Caution on not extending the lens hood fully when in wide angle mode, as lens hood is long and infringes into the frame. |
